curly21.jpg I am a now a nurse. A male nurse. I started this blog as a nursing student.  I caved in and started something that I never thought I would do…blogging that is. That and sticking my arms up to my elbows in the abdomen of a morbidly obese woman to assist placing a malecot drain, but that’s different story for another time. I digress. This is about me. Much like PixelRN and Compu_Nurse, I spent my previous career in the computer industry with ideas of becoming a freelance web designer because networking became such a bore. You see where I am now. One day I found myself intrigued by the medical blogs I found online while conducting research. I was hooked. I figured that eventually, I might have some valid things to say regarding the nursing industry from the standpoint of a male nurse. I know they may be similar to others, but they are mine. Having spent 2 years as an ER tech only humbled me realizing what little I do know and I thought this might be a light attempt to observe my ADD riddled thought patterns caused by the hectic pace of nursing. Hopefully I won’t lose my peculiar sense of humor in the process.
